At a quick glance through the PreSonus effects folder, you might have noticed the absence of a dedicated De-esser plugin. I know when I first opened up Studio One and was familiarizing myself with the bundled stock plug-ins, this was something that I noticed right off the bat. Mixtool - Whenever using a plug-in lacking makeup gain or to adjust levels of a buss pre-fader I reach for Mixtool. Also great to check and correct phase.
Studio One 4 Stock Plugins 2017
Pro EQ - I recently started using Pro EQ. Excellent metering, filtering, and side-chaining. Very easy to use, the GUI is well designed and most importantly it sounds good. I like to try a few different EQ's and often Pro EQ is the winner.
Compressor - Another I recently started using. Sometimes I like mixing into the PreSonus Compressor on the main. Set to a slower attack, faster release, 2 to 1 or 4 to 1 ratio. The Compressor has many features I wish all compressors had including Side-chain, Mix control and filter detection input.
Phase Meter - Because phase is important and this is an excellent phase meter. The VU Meter plug-in also has correlation metering.
Autofilter - This thing is just fun. Anytime you want to mangle audio into something different try the PreSonus Autofilter.
